Testimonials

We were on a trip out West. When we made the reservation, we knew that the area had significant rainfall and the Illinois River had overflowed its' banks. This was an adventure. The river had just crested and was receding slowly. It was an honor to meet the Owner, who is a fellow Veteran. His son guided us to a site with electric water and sewer. They even spread a load or two of gravel, to insure the area was not the least bit muddy. If you are looking for a campground that is shaded and near water - please stop by Millpoint. My wife and I stayed one night at Mill Point just before their holiday rush for the 2015 Memorial Day. Donald met us at the entrance and guided us to a shaded site where we could enjoy the scenery on the Illinois River and watch an occasional riverboat and barge on the water. He welcomed us to stop in at their restaurant a few miles away to watch the Chicago Blackhawks play the Anaheim Ducks on their big screen TV. Alas, we stayed in camp to relax and rest for our next day's journey which was delayed; it was so quiet at Mill Point we overslept. We plan to stop again.
