Family Friendly Park!
Very nice stay here. Super friendly owners. Convenient location. Some organized activities. Great price. No cable. Wifi too slow to even connect with Google. Pool was not heated when I was there, but that might have been due to the time of year. Overall I had an enjoyable stay here and recommend this camp to others.
We have enjoyed each stay at Walk-a-bout. Friendly, Clean, nice owners. A great stop off, or stay a week and enjoy the local activities.
We have stayed here many times on our trips up and down the east coast and have always found a warm welcome and wonderful service. Walkabout has pull through full hook up sites and an excellent laundry. It is close to St. Mary's, Cumberland Island National Seashore and within an hour of Jacksonville. The owner Troy and his family have done a wonderful job. We can't recommend them highly enough.
We have stayed many times at Walkabout and have nothing but good things to say about it. The owners are wonderful and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. Good location if you are traveling on I95 or visiting any of the nearby cities. Just north of the Florida line.
I would gladly recommend this park to anyone traveling through the area. Fantastic new owners who are the exception. The young "Aussies" are creating quite the oasis in southeast Georgia. The park is situated between cities that offer many activities, yet quiet and accommodating for extended stays. Would not hesitate to stay there again and again.
The "Walkabout Rv Campground" was definitely a park my husband & I will return too! We spent just over 2 weeks there and all sites are level, quiet & relaxing. There are trails to explore and access to fishing on the Crooked River pier. The couple are young, so energetic, smiley & such wonderful people! Very easy to get to off I-95 w/lot's of historic places and restaurants close by. Can't wait to return here again!
