We are located directly off US 101 at Chinook RV Resort. 19 miles South of Crescent City and 57 miles North of Arcata. With some cell providers you may lose service as you get close to Klamath. We recommend you set your map for Chinook RV Resort before you leave Arcata or Crescent City. We have found this works best for our guests.
We are right on the river with a beautiful view.
We found a little gem on Hwy 101 in the middle of the Redwoods. Chinook RV Resort is right on the Klamath River and less than a mile from the Pacific Coast. We RV camped here for five nights in April-2021. The location is perfect to see the Redwood National & State Parks. There are lots of hiking trails and scenic views close by. We drove 5 minutes to watch the sea lions and sea otters on the coast and 15 minutes to watch the whales migrating north. And the elk herds are remarkable in the meadows near here. The resort offers full hookups, pull thru sites, a shower house and laundry services. We did not use the showers but did look in and everything was super clean. The laundry has two washers and two dryers which is adequate for the size of the park. We did use the laundry facility. The office staff are friendly and very helpful. The owners are hands on and working all the time. They keep a nice, well maintained RV park. The owner, Elmer even kept the fire pit going at night for anyone who wanted to sit at the group fire pit by the river. We definitely recommend Chinook RV Resort if you are passing through this area.
