We enjoyed our stay at this quiet campground in D’Hanis - a quaint small town. Spacious pull-through sites and very responsive management. There is train activity nearby, but we rather enjoyed the iconic sound of passing trains and were able to sleep well. A great overnight stop when traveling Route 90. There are several full-timers, but we felt completely accepted and safe.
This is an awesome campground. We were coming from OKC in heavy traffic and running late. The hosts met us at the campground and made sure we were set even though it was late. Internet was great, hookups, easy access, well-planned park and the showers were to die for. Best shower I've had since we've been on the road with wonderfully hot water and plenty of room to dress. Nice facilities. This is a must stop RV Park.
Okay, this place is not going to win any beauty contests. If you're looking for luxury and pristine sites, this is not for you. There are a couple of buildings that really need to be torn down and a lot of work needs to happen with the basic area. YET I really enjoyed my stay. The price is good. The area is far enough from the freeway to be quiet (there is an occasional train, but no whistle). Utilities work fine. Wifi is surprisingly sufficient. Best of all was Brad, who not only welcomed me warmly but also helped in getting me situated and hooked up. If he makes a few more improvements, this could be a top site.
Quiet, convenient location with friendly people. Level gravel sites with solid utilities. Reasonable price. A few nice amenities such as a pond, dog park and small pool. Wifi does work, but sometimes goes down. Not a lot of trees (at least not yet) so it probably gets pretty hot in the summer (I stayed in the winter). Overall I had a positive stay here.
Nicely laid out park with well-kept sites, good utilities and a real usable WiFi for a reasonable price. There can be some noise from the highway, but usually overnight it won't be a bother. I would stay here again.
It's inexpensive and the people are friendly. The basic utilities work. Wifi is too weak to use. Cable TV doesn't really work either (although I got maybe one or two stations). But if you're looking for cheap and convenient to Texarkana, this is it. Note: The office is actually at the adjacent tire store. There is no signage to note this.
If you're looking for a luxury RV resort, this is not for you (and you would likely give the park a low rating). You need to understand that this is a rustic location. Basically it's like camping out in the woods...but you get utilities. The grounds are not going to be "prepared". They are natural, so branches and leaves will be strewn on the ground and there are ruts in the road. Sites were built around trees, not having trees planted around perfect sites. That means some sites may be a bit narrow (but surprisingly fairly level). The plus side is that the park is very peaceful with a lovely creek passing through and access to a larger river. They also offer rentals of kayaks and other recreational opportunities. Price is very reasonable. Friendly folks. One caution: The turn to get in to the park can be tricky with bigger rigs.
Friendly owners. Peaceful location on a lake and close enough to get to downtown Hot Springs in about 10 minutes. Nice tall trees to offer shade and (and lovely birdsong coming from nests). Utilities work well. Wifi has decent speed. Cable TV is low res but has a lot of channels. Sites are somewhat level (I was on a gravel site, but it looks like they are installing good concrete pads in a number of sites). Park was well kept. Looks like they are making improvements. They need to put some fresh asphalt on the roads around the park and continue installing concrete pads.
For a small campground my expectations were met. I was greeted by Jimmy who was so hospitable and helpful. i enjoyed the 2 day stay. Wifi at great speed. Always enjoyable to have cable TV. Restrooms and Showers were superb. Will visit again.
Called to reserve a camp site and spoke with Carol who was pleasant and helpful. When we arrived Carol met us and guided us to our site. Our pull-through campsite was suitable for our motorhome, and the Wi-Fi was great and were able to stream a movie. We will camp here again!
Great location right in the heart of Branson. Far enough away from the main road to have a quiet night. Utilities work fine. Friendly owners. Site was a bit sloped. Sites are very tight together and driving through the park is also tight. Wifi doesn't really work. Some more work can make this a really nice and cute park.
Basic, small Mom and Pop RV stop. Very small town. A bit of noise from the freeway, but not overwhelming. Level sites. Utilities work fine. Very friendly owners. Decent price. Easy distance to Butler. No real amenities, but a cute place to park overnight.
Great place to stop to visit Russell. Quiet location far enough from the freeway to mute the noise. Friendly owners. Self service mostly. The park is showing some age, but everything works fine. Level sites with gravel. Wifi can be pretty fast, but I believe some sites are blocked (such as YouTube).
This is not a high-class resort, but I myself had a very pleasant stay here. Conveniently located off the highway, yet behind a bluff which reduces freeway noise. It's about 19 miles from Downtown Albuquerque. Utilities work well. Apparently Wifi doesn't reach throughout the park, but I got great Wifi at speeds over 10megs. Site was reasonably level. All for a reasonable price.
On our trip from Pitsburgh to Long Beach. This was a nice change. It does not have any trees but it is a very clean and quiet park. Best of all the WiFi is great for streaming.
My wife and I found this site while looking for a place to get away from Southern California for a week without having to drive more than a day. We did ‘t want to go to Las Vegas but we wanted a full hook up park. This location is really a lot nicer than we expected. The spaces are well placed around a nice small man made lake and lagoon with great views and lots of birds, ducks and geese. There is a really nice paved walkway all the way around the lake which is closer than the paved roadway which also goes all the way around the lake. The website and the checkin process was fairly simple. Each space has a paved concrete pad and the Power pole is higher than most with the water and the sewer drain within a couple of feet of each other. The Park is dog friendly, on leash of course. The Casino is within walk-in distance and so is the gas station and convenience store. The pool is not heated but the spa is set at 98 degrees. The laundry room is clean with 3 working washers and 4 dryers. Both take quarters $2.00 to wash $1.00 to dry. We will definitely stay here again.
This place is a little off the beaten path so it is so worth the 5 minute drive! Very, very nice park! Beautiful lake. Customer service was great. Very level slab. Nice laundry room and large shower. Their wifi was awesome! I recommend this as a stop! You can't beat the price for this nice of a park!
Would like to compliment the manager Mark for being an outstanding individual. He provided me with great customer skills and was pleasant to talk to. The RV Park was awesome, clean and I will visit it again.
It's a pretty bare bones park. Friendly folks. Very low price. Wifi exists, but is not very reliable. No reservations possible, but don't worry. I really doubt the park will be full. Not much to do around the area, but is a great overnight.
This is a wonderful campground! And the owners, Charlie and Lucille, were super terrific and tried to help us with an inverter problem. They were very concerned and so willing to do everything they could to solve our problem. We would return here in a heartbeat!
