126 total RV sites (101 back ins and 25 pull thrus - may be tight for larger rigs), can accommodate RVs up to 40ft, 30/50 amp, water & electric sites, dump station, restrooms, showers, laundry, handicap access, propane, store, ice, fire rings, BBQ, picnic area, pavilions, athletic fields, horseshoes, volleyball, playground, nature watching, hiking, disc golf, day camps, summer concerts, biking, Baldcypress Nature Center, boating, boat ramp. Rowboats, pedal boats, canoes and kayaks can be rented for use within the park during the summer season, and park interpreters host narrated pontoon boat tours on summer weekends and holidays. The site of a large freshwater wetland, Trap Pond State Park hosts the northernmost natural stand of bald cypress trees in the United States. The forest of Trap Pond includes trails for bicycling and hiking, as well as views of the bald cypress trees growing out of the water. Park Events: Pontoon boat and paddle tours of Trap Pond, Jeep Jamboree (Laurel Chamber of Commerce), Bike Rally (Trap Pond Partners), Wade In (Nanticoke Watershed Alliance), Beer and Wine Festival (Trap Pond Partners) and Halloween Howl. Route 13 through Laurel, DE- take 24 East for 5 miles. Turn right onto Trap Pond Rd. Continue 1 mile and turn left on to Goosenest Rd. The campground entrance is on the right.
