Area attractions include Mesa Verde NP, Anasazi Heritage Center, Crow Canyon Archeological Center, Hovenweep Nat'l Monument, Lowry Pueblo Ruins, Ute Mountain Tribal Park, Ute Mountain Casino, Four Corners Monument, Canyonlands NP, Arches NP, Monument Valley, San Juan Skyway, Indian trading posts and native arts, local wineries. Fishing at the following: McPhee Reservoir, Groundhog Reservoir, Dolores River, Trout Lake, Narraguinnep, Joe Moore-Reservoir, Jackson Gulch Reservoir. Skiing at Telluride. Located 45 miles from Durango. From the south, when US 160/491 splits, bear right on US 160. Continue east through town on Main Street. Stay in left lane. La Mesa is on the left side of the street, just before highway 145. From Mesa Verde, drive west on US 160 to the first traffic light. Go through the light, get into the far right lane. La Mesa is about a block on the right.
