Karen and her family have created a most pleasant setting for respite from a long day of travel. The pads were very level. Nice concrete patio with picnic tables. All in great condition. The shelter/club house was very nice and clean. I cannot say enough about the showers !! Outstanding facilities. The park is sheltered within large trees with the romance of spainish moss draped everywhere. We enjoyed the evenings in our rocking chairs watching the occasional chicken wandering through. The Big Wheel RV park is without a doubt a favorite of ours. God bless you Karen & family from Jamie and joe of West, Texas

We stayed the night of 4/16. What a treat! This is a delightful campground with really nice management, clean sites on concrete pads and marvelous restrooms. As we left, my wife and I agreed that if we ever come back south, we would go out of our way to spend time camping here. This place is outstanding!

Stayed 1 night Aug 2012 - beautiful park, clean showers - appreciated the dehumidifiers in restrooms. St. Mary's is RV friendly with RV parking on street in front of park on the river then you can walk all through the historic area. Stop at info center and they will direct you. Toured the submarine museum and the Cumberland Island museum.

What a great RV park! Small, just 3 dozen pads, but extremely well laid out, with shade trees and landscaping. The lady checking us in was very cordial, and immediately honored the PA rate for our overnight stay. We checked in on a Sunday, and about 4 PM, someone knocked on our motorhome door to invite us to the regular Sunday 5 PM pot-luck dinner in the main building. My wife and I happened to have a BBQ pork roast, brought it over, and we had a great time, getting to know the owners and several of the other campers. We will definitely stay here again.
