Testimonials

Please do not overlook this RV Park. We were fortunate to get the last site. Enjoyed the large trees that provide shade and/or partial shade at different times of the day. As we have found on this trip, rates have not been updated on RA. We paid $60 for Sunday and $30 for Monday. Would definitely stay again.

I'm torn as in I really would rather keep this hidden gem a secret, however, credit should be given where it is due. This is not the overnight spot or the rv resort. This is where you'll spend a few days plus, enjoying a small well kept campground that is off the beaten path with motorized off road trials along with excellent hiking opportunities available immediately outside the campground. With the assistance of the owners and some patience one can get a 40' coach, off road toys and associated trailer tucked in nicely amongst the junipers and enjoy a week long stay as our family does. During our stay in May '21 and again October '21 we found the owners to be very accommodating for large rigs such as ours, as well the smaller rigs we would see come in. They are all ages friendly and off road toys friendly.

Stayed here 4/5 & 4/6/15 (two nights, 1-1/2 days). CG just in process of opening for season, so plenty of room. Sites are of non-standard sizes and shapes scattered through typical high desert scrub treed grounds. National Forest is accessible to OHV's right from main gate and many, many tracks to travel. Typical high desert forest (scrub trees and some cacti species), Staff very friendly and helpful, willing to share information about the area. Considerable Elk scat seen during my 5 to 6 hours hiking with two labs, but no actual sightings (dog related?). However, many birds (raptors & scavengers) easily observed. Winds approximately 20-30 mph during my stay, but that is high desert, sometimes windy, sometimes not. Facilities clean, but not fancy; best suited for outdoors enjoyment rather than resort atmosphere. If in the area again I would stay here without a second thought.
