Grand Staircase Resort of Escalante sits in the middle of the Scenic American Byway, Highway 12. Many people consider this highway the prettiest stretch of highway in America. Varied geology and National Parks and Monuments adorn its route. No matter how you arrive at the Grand Staircase Resort, it is a beautiful drive. Our RV section boasts 27 long, level, pull thru, full hook-up sites. Each site is 28 by 75 feet and accommodates even the longest of rigs. Gravel roads and sites with grass & some trees between each site. Some sites have fire rings and some do not, please state your preference. All sites have tables. Tent sites, Cabins and equestrian sites are also available but PA discounts do not apply. We are brand new and expect to improve each season. Come join us soon. Located across the street from the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument Visitor Center. A centrally located home-base to make each day a new exploration of the scenic wonders surrounding Escalante. Park also offers: 20/30/50 amp service, dump station, Wi-Fi, restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, handicap accessible, phone, playground, propane and hiking. Area Attractions: In the heart of the Grand Staircase National Monument here you can hike in the Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, boat and fish on Wide Hollow Reservoir, hike Peek-a-boo, Spooky, Zebra and Dry Fork Slot Canyons, drive the Hole-in-the-Rock Road, see the Devil’s Garden, hike in Coyote Gulch, see the Escalante River Canyon, fish in Posey Lake, experience Hells Backbone Road and the Hogsback, hike to Lower and Upper Calf Creek Falls, drive the Burr Trail road, see Capital Reef National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park, see the arches in Kodachrome Basin State Park, explore numerous Jeep and ATV routes accessible right from the RV Park, visit the Hole-in-the-Rock Heritage Center, enjoy world class fishing on Boulder Mountain, hike through the Box-Death Hollow Wilderness Area, find the dinosaur tracks and ride horses through the Boulder Mail Trail, just to name the most well-known. Area Events: Escalante Heritage Festival - Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day Celebration - July 4th, Bryce Canyon Half Marathon - Second Saturday in July, July 24th Celebration - Weekend closest to July 24th, Moqui Motor Madness Auto Show -Third weekend in August, Escalante Canyons Art Festival - Last week of September, Escalante Canyons Marathon - Second Saturday in October, Escalante Family Ranch Rendezvous - Third weekend in November.

Open Year Round. PA applies to standard nightly rates and not to discounted weekly or monthly rates. PA is not valid the months of April, May, September, and October. PA is not valid during and two days before and after a holiday, or during local special events listed below. Reservations and drive-ups welcome. Check-in hours 3:00-6:00 PM. If you expect to arrive later than that, call with your credit card for your site number. Or pull in and make your own selection, you may pay in the morning. *Rates: Weekdays $39, Fri & Sat $42. Rates are for two people. $5 extra charge for A/C in the summer and heat in the winter.
Directions
Coming East from Interstate 15 - Go East on Highway 20. (South of Beaver and North of Cedar City.) When Highway 20 ends, turn (RIGHT) South on Highway 89 toward Panguitch. At the traffic light turn LEFT (East). Follow the road as it curves and goes South. At Highway 12, turn LEFT (East) and head toward Escalante. You are now on the beautiful All-American scenic Byway 12. Enjoy the drive. You will weave through Red Canyon, pass Bryce Canyon, scoot through Tropic, Cannonville and Henrieville to arrive in Escalante. We are on your left as you come into town. We are located on Main Street (Highway 12), just across the street from the BLM Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument Visitor Center. Coming West from Boulder, Utah - Follow Highway 12 West through Boulder. Stay on Highway 12 across the Hogsback, down past Upper and Lower Calf Creek Falls, across the Escalante River, up the Head of the Rocks to the scenic overlook. Continue on to Escalante. Proceed through town. Be sure to observe the speed limits and don't pick up your pace to quickly. We are on your right as as you approach the end of town. We look forward to meeting you.
