Testimonials

What a nice campground! Long driveway in so you are back away from noise. Large level sites with FHU. Ponds, ducks, and play areas for kids and adults. Beautiful pool, modern clean bath houses and laundry. We were in Charleston in no time. We will be back to spend more time. We were there April 2018.

Stayed here, in June 2017. Very nice park - if we come back this way, we will consider staying again. Very quiet, but be aware there is a train near-by. The cost was 28 dollars a night for full hook ups (30 amp).

May 2016 Big park, very busy, and need to phone ahead for reservation! Gravel roads and level gravel sites with grass between, each site has picnic table and fire-ring. Clean restrooms and laundry. An easy 30 minutes drive to Downtown Charleston and close to most area attractions.

What a great RV park! We stayed here for a week, and enjoyed it immensely. The pool isn't heated, but after the initial thrill of getting in, it's fine. Fellow campers were from all over the map, and we met a lot of interesting people. The wifi was the best I've had, lightning fast and easy to access. No cable tv, but we were able to pick up a dozen local stations with the antenna. If we had a complaint, it would be the water, not good tasting, and with an odor. Fortunately, we had half a tank of great water from a previous RV park, so we used that for drinking and cooking. Close to railroad tracks, I'd hear the mournful wail of the train whistle, as it came through in the middle of the night, bringing back memories of my youth in a railroad community. I loved it, and we'll be back for more next year.

Visiting Charleston, SC we selected Lake Arie RV Park, Hollywood, SC from the Passport America book. Lake Aire was one of the nicest RV Parks we've stayed in. Very scenic, with trees, lake, and ducks. The staff and accommodations were some of the best. It was one of many excellent RV parks that we have stayed in through the years that we belong to your camping club. Staying at recommended Passport campgrounds have saved us the cost of membership many time over.

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoy our membership in Passport America. Although we belong to a few camping clubs, we use our PA and Escapees memberships almost exclusively. We are full-time RVers so we definitely travel on a budget and PA campgrounds allow us to do so much more because of its low rates. Our most recent experience with a PA campground is at Lake Aire RV Park in Hollywood, SC. It is about 30 minutes west of Charleston so it allows us easy access to the city but gives us the quiet of the country. We stayed 2 weeks at Lake Aire and will come back again when we are in this area. The owners and staff are pleasant and helpful. Most sites are pull-through and spacious. Thanks, PA, for being such a great organization. We'll be members for a long time.
